As a traveler I expected to be able to know all about this thriller – The Perfect Girlfriend by Karen Hamilton, published by Graydon House Books before most readers, but boy was I drawn in from the very beginning.  I am about to embark on a long trip and usually books are too heavy to back in my carry-on or handbag, but this one is going in so I can finish it on the plane.  No movies for me – just a good book to take me away to another place. As the flight attendants pass by i will wonder if their thoughts are the same as the character in the book – you must read it too – especially if you are a traveler yourself!

Drop the Netflix marathon now like I did and get to this book that just came out.  You will know then why books are so tried and true – especially when you are traveling. The suspense will make you stop whatever you are doing.

This new favorite read of mine, Perfect Girlfriend is a psychological thriller told from the point of view of Juliette.  Most think she could be any young woman who is obsessed with her ex-boyfriend Nate – BUT you are can read (hear) her inner thoughts and know she is a kettle about to explode. Some of her antics may seem rather tame, but you can not stop turning each and every page as she moves forward with her PLAN. THINK SUSPENSE AND THRILLER – WHAT MORE COULD ONE ASK?!?!

She believes that her ex-boyfriend (the pilot) are meant to be together – BUT will he ever believe this senairio too. The huge amount of tension is palpable throughout and you will feel it in your own body.  You will wonder could you or a friend be thinking this same way and no one is the wiser. It is definitely the number one page turner I have had my hands on lately. It will rock the #1 list for sure by summer.  Be one of your first pals to read it and make them jealous.

This book will be in everyone’s hands by the pool this summer!

What a great book club book it would be – the discussions could go on forever and you may even learn a bit more than you would like about your book club members.  You will wonder if any of them ever did anything like Juliette. Be sure to read the very first few pages carefully so you can stay on track!

This book may even make me want to start a book and wine club!

Just remember to lock the doors before you go to bed! Think the movie Fatal Attraction, Netflix’s series You, or books The Woman in the Window and The Girl on the Train Once (one of my favs). This is definitely a thriller. It is a #1 International Best Seller for sure and it is also ranked as one of the  20 new books to read in March by EW.com
