Book clubs have long been a cultural, social staple with a dual purpose. Besides being a forum for die-hard, literary fans, book clubs have also served as a relaxing escape for many people to unwind and take a break from their hectic lives. In fact, with day-to-day demands becoming so hectic in our society, it can be difficult to find the time to read, let alone make it to an actual book club meeting. That’s why Spa Week Daily, the official lifestyle blog of SpaWeek.com, has created its very own Spa Week book club —a unique, online community for book lovers to interact at their leisure, from the comfort of their own home.
Spa Week Daily’s Book Club will feature a new book for members to read on a monthly basis. Each selection will come with the tools to help them get the most out of their reading experience including exclusive online forums and live chats with each featured author via Spa Week’s Facebook pageSpa Week Daily’s Book Club will also be a go-to source to find reviews on the most buzzed about novels, author spotlights and more.
Kicking off Spa Week Daily’s Book Club this month is first time novelist Kelly Harms with her newly debuted, must-read novel, The Good Luck Girls of Shipwreck Lane. Readers may participate in ongoing forum discussions with other book club members, and will also have the opportunity to engage with Kelly herself during a live Facebook chat on September 11th.  Participants will be able to ask away all types of questions about The Good Luck Girls of Shipwreck Lane, her favorite characters or even where she finds her inspiration.
“Similar to a spa treatment, a good book lends the mind to relaxation and allows us to de-stress,” said Cheryl Reid, CEO and Founder of Spa Week Media Group. “For this reason, we are very excited to offer our consumers yet another means to engage in a happy, healthy lifestyle thanks to this new, dynamic feature within the Spa Week community.”
Whether it’s the perfect, easy vacation read to innovative cookbook recipes (and so much more) that readers seek, Spa Week Daily’s Book Club will have them coming back month after month.
