It’s Easy as Pie & Oh So Honey Sweet!

There are oh so many things we would all love to accomplish in life. Some of us love to check off an actual paper list and some of us like me just use our iPhone’s Intuition App that @Twittermoms recommended to me. Well, I have found the perfect event to get three major items checked off. One check to the family list, one for the vacation list and one for the life list! As you read along, see if you can think of any other Goblet List items you can think of!

Recently I stumbled upon an activity for my family that would mean I could make a triple play! Yes that means please everyone in the family, a getaway (well you had to know that travel was in the picture), and education my family in environmental conservation without them even knowing we were going “green”!

Yes this place would make me the Queen Bee of the Queen City. Well at least for the day. Charlotte is our location for this triple play. My hope is to fit this in over the holidays. Charlotte is my old stomping ground and South Park Mall is my mall of choice for this area. Holiday shopping is very close to our triple play too, so no worries moms! We can still get to the important stuff!

So, where you are by now wondering what in the world could get all things accomplished in one giant sweep! Hey isn’t that a baseball term too? It is The Ritz-Carlton, Charlotte which is LEED certified; which is where part of the green comes into play! Take a look at all at all it offers in activities and location!

Okay start counting how many things a trip to The Ritz-Carlton, Charlotte would check off your list! Humm….. I still have that Penthouse Suite & I never even imagined a Penthouse Spa in a LEED hotel to boot! 1, 2, 3………

The Birds & The Bees Give Back Getaway

Join this special volunteer opportunity to help protect avian residents of the Carolina Raptor Center, home to orphaned, injured and homeless raptors, bald eagles and other rare and magnificent birds of prey. The Birds and the Bees is ideal for guests of all ages and includes a behind-the-scenes tour of the Carolina Raptor Center, an informative Meet the Keeper presentation, lunch at the Center and the opportunity to spend two hours working directly alongside Center staff to build and maintain habitats for resident raptors. Upon your return to The Ritz-Carlton, Charlotte, you will continue your half-day Birds and the Bees adventure with an informative visit to the hotel’s acclaimed green roof, home to 80,000 honeybees in two contained hives, and the source of the natural honey featured in the hotel’s popular honey pecan ice cream.

The Birds and the Bees program is complimentary for guests of The Ritz-Carlton, Charlotte and includes the experience and tour, transportation, lunch, refreshments and a special memento of the visit.

Each scheduled session begins at 9 a.m. and concludes at 1:30 p.m. with advance reservations offered at (704) 972-4401. Capacity is limited to ten guests per Getaway, and reservations are subject to availability.

Well we have a Ritz hotel (must I say more), a Spa (a given), a Wildlife Animal facility (I spent many days volunteering at Noah’s Ark Animal Rehabilitation Center before I had little animals of my own), Bees & Honey (I grew up robbing the bees with my grandfather & you can see here on my blog how I adore to eat, bath and just about anything else with honey)
