WOW – Something to add to my Goblet List – This weekend, Air France will introduce its award-winning new La Première cabin on flights between Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and Paris-Charles de Gaulle (CDG). On September 27, 2025, flight AF022 will mark the very first journey between the two cities operated by an aircraft equipped with the airline’s new La Première suites. During the winter season, this exceptional new product will be available on a daily flight on this route.

Flight schedule (in local time) – daily flight with the new La Première cabin:
AF022: leaves Paris-Charles de Gaulle at 10:30am, arrives at Los Angeles-LAX at 1:05pm the same day;
AF023: leaves Los Angeles-LAX at 3:25pm, arrives at Paris-Charles de Gaulle at 11:15am the following day.

La Premiere is currently offered to and from five U.S. destinations – New York JFK, Washington IAD, Los Angeles LAX, San Francisco SFO, and Miami MIA. Now Los Angeles joins New York as the second U.S. gateway to receive the new La Première cabins, reflecting strong demand for premium travel between the U.S. and Paris. Gradually rolled out on a selection of Boeing 777-300ERs, this new La Première cabin will be available on all La Première destinations by 2026.

“We are proud to bring our newest signature French art of travel to Los Angeles, one of the most important gateways in the U.S.,” said Fabien Pelous, SVP of Customer Experience at Air France. “This milestone marks a significant enhancement of Air France’s U.S. offering and further strengthens the airline’s position as a leader in global luxury travel. La Première, the highest expression of travel, provides an unparalleled journey to Paris and onward to our global network with the award-winning service that defines Air France”.

Air France will operate up to three daily direct flights from Los Angeles to Paris during the upcoming winter season, and up to four daily flights in summer 2026, with flights departing in the afternoon and in the evening, arriving the following day in Paris. A new Air France lounge at LAX with a private area dedicated to La Première guests

At LAX, Air France is introducing a new, dedicated ground service designed to make the La Première journey as seamless and exclusive as possible. This differs from the current check-in area for all other Air France passengers at Tom Bradley International Terminal (Terminal B). La Première customers can now check-in at a dedicated La Première space located between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, departures level, in front of door L2-9. Once there, they will be greeted with personalized assistance, immediate bag drop, priority escort through TSA security, located behind the new check-in area, followed by a private car transfer across the airport on the tarmac. Passengers will then enjoy a faster, smoother route to the dedicated La Première section of the new Air France lounge, located near the departure gate at the Midfield Satellite Concourse (MSC), setting the tone for an exceptional travel experience.

Designed by Air France teams together with the agency SGK Brandimage, this elegant and refined lounge has several different areas to suit everyone’s needs. The entire space is an invitation to discover the company’s universe, featuring its signature colors – shades of blue, luminous whites and touches of red – giving a sleek, chic design. The furniture has been carefully chosen and includes creations by famous French designers such as the Ester chairs by Patrick Jouin, the Ribbon armchairs by Pierre Paulin, the coffee table by Charlotte Perriand and lighting creations by Margaux Keller.

At the heart of the lounge, La Première customers now have access to a private area exclusive to them. Designed in the same spirit as the La Première suites available on board, the space offers a particularly comfortable, chic and made-to-measure layout. Bathed in soft light and with a privileged view of the runways, it can seat twelve guests and has its own dining area. In the Clarins spa available at the lounge, La Première customers can also choose a “de-stress” treatment designed exclusively for them.

When ready to board, customers will be escorted to the aircraft for private boarding on the dedicated La Première jet bridge.

La Première, the highest expression of travel

Air France’s new La Première suite features five windows and a one-of-a-kind concept. Entirely modular, it consists of a seat and a chaise longue that converts into a true bed. The seat can be adapted to every moment of the flight, during take-off, landing, mealtime or simply to relax. Featuring soft, ergonomic seat foam, it adjusts each passenger’s body for maximum comfort. In front of the seat, a chaise longue allows passengers to rest in their preferred position and stretch their legs while sitting down to read or watch a film. And for a perfect night’s sleep, the chaise longue simply unfolds to become a true bed measuring two meters in length. The four suites available on board each aircraft feature a thick floor-to-ceiling curtain for total privacy and a cozy atmosphere.

Each guest has access to two 32-inch 4K anti-glare screens, allowing them to enjoy over 1,500 hours of entertainment in optimum conditions from their seat, chaise longue or bed. Passengers are also provided with a set of noise-reducing headphones, as well as the option to pair their own headphones or earphones to the screens via Bluetooth. Each suite is also equipped with 110V/220V, USB A and USB C power sockets, as well as wireless charging slots and a smartphone or tablet holder, so guests can use their own personal devices. The suite is intuitively controlled from a wireless touchscreen tablet. By touching the tablet screen, guests can adjust the seat recline, chaise longue or bed, as well as the various lighting options and window blinds. Navigating all the cabin’s functionalities is also made easy by using the two screens available.

With a vast airport lounge, a private suite on board, fine dining created by Michelin-starred chefs, a carefully selected wine and champagne list and a peaceful night’s sleep at 35,000 feet, every moment of the La Première travel experience has been carefully curated to make for an unforgettable trip.

Dining In Style: Chefs Daniel Boulud, Dominique Crenn and Laurent Le Daniel for the La Première Cabin

Passengers departing from LAX will find menus created by Michelin-starred chefs Daniel Boulud and Dominique Crenn, who have developed signature dishes for La Première customers departing from U.S. gateways.

Since February 2024, Air France has partnered with three-star Michelin chef Dominique Crenn to craft both a vegetarian and fish dish, including creations such as lobster with pico de gallo and tea sauce or a root vegetable mille-feuille with truffle. Joining her as of July 2025 is world-renowned, Michelin-starred chef Daniel Boulud, who brings a modern touch to French culinary tradition with exclusive poultry and red meat dishes. This includes specialties such as chicken with saffron, turnips, pumpkin and green olive semolina, further elevating the fine dining experience on board.

For the first time on departure from all Air France stations in the U.S., the airline has entrusted the creation of its refined desserts to be enjoyed on board to Laurent Le Daniel, Meilleur Ouvrier de France based in Brittany. The pastry chef combines the quality of the ingredients, creativity and delicate flavors to create original desserts dedicated to La Première customers. For example, guests can enjoy a ‘Coeur de Bretagne’, a quintessential Breton dessert featuring salted butter caramel, milk chocolate and a crispy hazelnut biscuit.
