As someone who has been known for over 10 years as a spa expert and wellness lover, I get a lot of questions, emails, tweets, and various other type of messages about where to go on a bit of spa travel and sometimes the direct questions of where is the top spa in key west.

Sometimes the questions are concerning a girl’s trip – just this morning it was a regular question about where to take mom and then again sometimes it is about a honeymoon trip. I can usually never say  – boom – you should go here without careful thought about all the particulars of their trip and needs. Well now when someone says they are going to Key West –  I have the easy ultimate answer to  the question – “What is the top spa in Key West?”

Recently I was hosted for a visit to the Top Spa at the La Concha Hotel in Key West. I did not have my expectations set very high, since I have never been blown away at a spa in Florida. Today I was going to be pleasantly surprised in every way from the luxurious spa suite to the experience and skill of the spa therapists.

BUT first let’s talk about that VIEW! I truly felt like I was on top of the world while gazing out over all the aqua water in an almost 360 degree view.  At every angle I was amazed. I truly think I would have been okay with just the view and no spa treatments, but wait – that would just not be right.

So back to the spa treatments.  I was hosted for the seasonal massage and pedicure and I treated my pal Morgan to the same.  Each spa treatment was remarkable – so much so I would return myself again one day on my own.

ONE – What make them so memorable (other than the amazing spa suite_ – the experienced and highly trained therapists.  After all the spa treatments I have received I can tell when someone knows their stuff and this staff did.  Also they have the hospitality spirit that cannot be faked.  They really wanted me to have a great enjoyable visit.

TWO – Many spa leave me speechless. Usually I walk in and try not to but my spa consultant hat on and start a mental list.  Here at the Top Spa in Key West I never made any mental notes.  Even before I anticipated anything my needs were met or exceeded.  Did I want a glass of bubbles ….. of course I had not thought of that – but why not! Being at a spa is always a time to celebrate!

and THREE – This has been one of the hardest reviews for me to write because I am so speechless.  When an experience gives you a true lovely feeling that is beyond words it say a lot – because not many times am I speechless – just ask my family.
