Many of you know I am a luxury minded gal. While we all love a good spa or salon day, they need to be more about relaxation than hair color maintenance. When I need my hair colored, it is usually a quick result of me waking up one day and realizing that I have worn my hair in a ponytail exclusively for a week or more without even noticing it. Why was I hiding my hair to the extreme of placing my sunglasses over my part? It had become time to color my hair without me even consciously knowing it. Coloring your hair at home with Clairol Nice ’n Easy is a luxury to me, since it lets me take control and color my hair on my own time quickly – leaving me more time to be fabulous somewhere else! Also their permanent color lasts up to 8 weeks!
One of my major hair issues is gray hair! Since I started using Clairol this is not something I have to worry about. Clairol offers 100% gray coverage! The steps are easy and become second nature. I felt pretty confident when I chose the color since Clairol Nice ‘n Easy provides women with the broadest selection of shades to achieve real, natural-looking results for color as real as you are – making you feel as fabulous as you look! My perfect color is 6.5GN Light Golden Sunset Brown!
The process is so simple. All I had to do was choose my shade by reviewing the information on the box. It was so easy to tell how the shade would look on my personal hair to achieve my desired results. I chose my shade by looking at the name of the color, then looking at the information on the box telling me the reaction of this color on my present hair shade. The color I picked was the shade that I go to when spring is either about to arrive – or it is wishful thinking. Just a little lighter than my usually fall or winter. It gives me the essence of sunlight shining down on my hair. I choose Clairol Nice ‘n Easy Sun Kissed!
Then about 48 hours before I was ready to color, I did a skin allergy test at the nape of my neck. This is a great place that is not too visible on most of us – just in case.
Then when I was ready to apply the color, I placed on the supplied gloves that actually fit pretty well. They allowed me to maintain my recent manicure and work with my hair. After reviewing the additional instructions, I just followed the steps to prepare the color solution.
Then, I parted my hair and started applying the color solution about a quarter inch from my scalp (being careful not to apply directly onto my scalp). Then I spread it out an inch or two for saturation of my gray roots. After it had set for the appropriate time per the directions, I then used my fingers and spread it through the rest of my hair saturating toward the ends and set a timer on my phone.
Then came the time to rinse the color out. It is easier to rinse if you wet it just a bit at first and massage your scalp a bit to loosen up your hair, then continue to rinse as you normally would when you shampoo your hair.
Then I applied the CC+ Colorseal Conditioner supplied in the box. It felt so luxurious! I left it on for the allotted time and then rinsed again. It made my hair feel as soft as a baby’s hair!
The CC+ Colorseal Conditioner is a generous enough supply for you to use it once a week for the next few weeks until it may be time for a root touchup.
The entire process was so simple. When I finished styling my hair and went about my day, I was surprised at how little time it had actually taken. I am hooked now. No more spending an entire afternoon in the hair salon and emptying out my bank account!
Next up was to dry my hair to discover not my new shade, but the PERFECT SHADE! My shade feels just perfect for ME! I am certain you can find your perfect shade. There are 45 different shades ranging from the lightest blonde to a deep natural blue/black.
