When it comes to getting to the airport for your upcoming spring holidays, how do you go about it? Do you wait until the very last minute before you do anything about it? Or do you plan it way in advance? I do a little both! OR maybe you totally forget about it, because it’s something you never remembered to give any thought to! However you do it, getting to the terminal door is perhaps just as important a part of your travel day as your flight!

I’ve tried every method of getting to the airport, so I feel quite well qualified to advise on this matter. Because of this I’ve had good experiences, and I’ve had bad experiences, and from those I have come to the conclusion that driving myself and booking airport parking with ParkBCP was by far my most successful mission when I am in the UK!

It couldn’t be easier really, basically if you have a car or have access to a car, you load up the boot (that’s truck for us US gals) with your luggage, load yourself in, and whoever else is coming with you, and off you go, stopping however often you want on the way, leaving at the time you want to, not a time that is prescribed to you by a bus/train/taxi. You simply pre-book your parking space, turn up, park up, go on holiday. Easy!

I love to use Gatwick North parking, so I can certainly vouch for the service available, however you will find this is a nationwide service, meaning nobody misses out on the major advantages. It is refreshing after the hustle and bustle of other options in the area.

Your alternatives are of course a coach, a train, or an airport taxi. I’ve tried all three, and still say driving yourself is a better option, but obviously this isn’t something that is available to everyone. If you do need to book a coach, it’s a good idea to do it as soon as you book your holiday or vacation, because the cost will go up the nearer it gets to your departure date, and the same can be said for trains, which go up with a bump the closer the day gets. Airport taxis? Well I find these quite expensive, but if you prefer a personal A to B service, without having to use public transport, then this is a good choice for you. I’d personally use a word of mouth recommendation from a friend or family member when it comes to choosing a company, because this is always going to be the most reliable road to go down. Again, book well in advance and secure your quote for the best experiences.

Once you are at the terminal door, and you find which check-in desk you need to head to, the rest is history – enjoy your holidays (or vacations), however you choose to get there.
