Reporting on travel has never been a “tough” job. Most of my time is spent in spas, which are usually luxurious and relaxing. So when the subject of glamping came up, I have always been a bit hesitant. So why am I rethinking glamping now? I discovered The !
For years camping has been something I experienced during my childhood….and there it would stay. Then came “Glamping” – intriguing but the unknowns left me a little uncertain about spending the night outside of my common elements.
So why does the word keep coming up? Well Glamping is evolving – that’s a good thing. Recently, I was looking around on the web for somewhere the entire family would enjoy and ran across the and they may have just changed my mind!
I know you are wondering. Yes – I checked first to see if they had a spa!
When I took one look at those country-cute pedicure chairs, the ranch was mentally added to my Pedi Goblet List (aka Luxury Bucket List). Remember gals that Goblet Lists are not just checked off, but can be experiences that are enjoyed again and again.
Then, suddenly, Glamping rose quickly up the list when I spotted a tent with an amazing tub due to a current bath fetish.
Lately I have done a lot of what many might say are bucket list items. Cycling through Paris, slammed a hammer at the Berlin Wall and invited to represent the US at the International ILTM Spa events. So it looks like Glamping at the Ranch at Rock Creek is joining the list.
Well I may not be a YouTube star like Bethany Moto, nor an A-List celebrity like Kate Bosworth who got married at the ranch but when it comes to the best – I think everyone deserves it. The ranch received the Forbes 5-star Travel Guide Award. This award along with the Ranch at Rock Creek being a member of Relais & Châteaux – an association of the entire world’s finest hotels – I knew I would be in good hands.
