Upgrade your trip & your body to a fantastic view!
The View has always been a major decision for many when planning their travels. Usually the most desirable views include water creating a more lovely and enjoyable experience. Well the same thing is true about You too! Hydration improves not only how our skin appears, but also how we feel both physically and mentally. Feeling nourished through hydration enables us to feel good and look beautiful too! Did you know that how hydrated your body stays not only changes the way your skin looks but the entire mood of your trip whether you are skiing, sailing or hiking?
Hydrating your body needs to begin before your trip, just like packing. Think about packing our bodies with items just like a suitcase. Ever forget to pack something? It did not make you feel too beautiful did it? Start a few days before your journey hydrating your body by drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day. When you become thirsty, you are already partially dehydrated. So plan ahead just like you do for your trip.
During your trip avoid caffeinated and alcoholic beverages as much as possible at least in route and save them for your arrival. Most locations offer distinct regional beverages which will ease the separation. Recently I discovered that each region of The British Isles offers their own distinct local spring and sparkling water in recyclable glass bottles. While skiing you can slurp some hot cider or cocoa. All of these will aid in maintaining a lovely glowing complexion!
A few other tips are to be sure and exfoliate with a gentile exfoliating cleanser to enable your skin to soak up moisurizers. Also it is a great idea to travel with a spray bottle of spring water like Avene or Evian. They are rich in silicate and trace elements that will soothe, calm and soften your skin. During the trip do not forgo your skincare regime. If going on a relaxing holiday bring along a moisturizing mask you have been meaning to try, but just could not find the time. Also night creams are perfect after long drying flights or days on the slopes. As always, use sunscreen daily!
