When going on vacation, it can be difficult to form a checklist of what you need to bring. Weather can be unpredictable, and you might not always know what you’re going to get up to whilst you’re away. These are huge affecting factors of what you put into your case so, without this information, it’s really tricky to navigate the packing process. Whether you’re going to Mexico or Greenland, there are a handful of clothing essentials that you should bring with you on every trip. Without these, you just won’t be prepared for every possible situation so it’s important to make room for the following items of clothing.

Sunhat

Even if where you’re going doesn’t have a tropical climate, it’s important that you have the means to protect yourself. The sun is extremely dangerous, and you should put every measure in place to protect yourself from it. Otherwise, you may suffer from the likes of heat exhaustion or heat stroke, which can be life-threatening in severe cases. You should also pair this sunhat with sunscreen, sunglasses, and loose-fitting clothing that covers your skin. You should also make sure that you drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration, as your body will require much more water than normal in hot climates.

Rain Mac

Once again, if you’re going somewhere where rain isn’t likely, you should still be sure to pack a rain mac. A mac is ideal, as it’s extremely lightweight, meaning that it’ll fit nicely into any case and won’t have a detrimental effect on the weight. Similarly, it’s possible that it may rain in hot countries, meaning that you won’t want a thick winter coat to keep you dry. Although rain won’t have as much of a dangerous effect on you as the sun will, it would still be extremely inconvenient to be caught in the rain without a rain mac.

Comfortable Shoes

Vacations are typically times in which you’ll be doing a lot of exploring, which is why you’ll want some comfortable shoes to walk around in. The last thing that you want to ensure during your holiday is sore feet, especially when you’re doing a lot of walking and adventuring. Comfort is key for any vacation, as this is a time in which you’re supposed to forget the pressures of everyday life and simply enjoy yourself. It’s definitely much more difficult to achieve this when you’re in pain. Sneakers are probably the most sensible choice as these can be adapted to all manner of occasions.

Cotton T-Shirts

Cotton T-Shirts are best for hot locations as they ensure that you’re covered and cool at the same time. Cotton is a very lightweight and breathable material, meaning that it’s the best thing to be worn when it’s hot out. If you wear clothes that make you too hot, you’ll be prone to heat exhaustion, heat stroke, and dehydration. All of which can be life-threatening in very severe cases. It’s especially important to pack the right clothes when vacationing in a hot climate, as clothing can really impact how your body handles the heat.

Formal Wear

You never know what you’ll be doing on vacation, and it wouldn’t be great if a formal occasion presented itself and you didn’t have the appropriate attire on hand. From designer cufflinks to a nice pair of heels, you should be prepared for all occasions. You might never need the formal wear that you’ve packed, but it’s better to have and not need than need and not have. You should also ensure that your formal wear is suited to the climate so that you’re not in discomfort in the name of fashion.
