When does your soul pull you to give back? I know when mine does. As an animals lover, I do more than watch cute videos – I strive to make their lives better. This is not just my own spoiled rotten fur babies at my own home, but those that are born onto the streets or arrive at a shelter wondering why they were given up.
Many years ago my heart fell in love with Noah’s Ark Animal Sanctuary. Before I had kids of my own (less responsibility), I spent every Saturday when I was off work at this true animal sanctuary. It was rather strange that almost every Saturday morning I discovered a wondering or injured animal on the road near the sanctuary. Was it an act of God or where someone had just dumped them off? Well either way, it gave me a reason for a random act of kindness. We don’t always think of this term with animals, but all lives matter!
Random acts of kindness can happen in a grocery store line, a children’s home, a doctor’s office or on the side of the road.
Western Union shares my belief in selfless acts of kindness to all. They want to inspire others to perform these selfless acts of kindness too. Western Union’s Chain of Betters is their idea that empowers people with the opportunity to change the lives of others.
Their belief is that as money moves around the world, creating a chain of good deeds, together we can start to change lives in ways we wouldn’t have imagined was possible all by ourselves.
Western Union believes that when money moves, better things happen. A business expands. A family connects. A child goes to college. Emergency aid arrives the moment it’s needed. An economy prospers, an opportunity opens, a community heals.
This isn’t just saying money moves for better. This is proving it, together.
