It has been many many years since I have explored Nashville, so I thought I would do a bit of research to see what might have changed or is new to see there. Follow along as we both fall in love with this music city! Thanks to Hotels.com for hosting this time to explore Nashville again journey. All thoughts are my own!

First Pick a Place to Stay

For the one of a kind authentic Nashville experience, you want to choose accommodations in Nashville in the heart of the city. I picked the Omni Nashville Hotel on my last snowy stay. It is conveniently located to all the most must-see activities… AND it has an amazing spa. More on that later.

The Omni Nashville is located on Fifth Avenue. You can spot it by the modern sleek design and it is right near the Convention Center too. With a coffee shop in the lobby, deviled eggs to dream about and a spa upstairs, this location is perfect for me.

Nashville’s Past

First, let’s check in on what Nashville is and always was – a historical city. As the most populous city in Tennessee and the 23rd most populous city in the United States of America, we know it is popular, but why? Let’s go back in time a minute to see where it all started.

Nashville got its name from Francis Nash, who was a Continental Army General during the Revolutionary War.

Nashville’s Present

Even though Nashville is known for music it offers so much more. You definitely need to see the Ryman Auditorium and the Music City Center, but there are many non-music places to see too.

I have visited Nashville a few times, but the last time made an impression. There are some really good luxury spas in Nashville spas there like the one at the Omni Nashville Hotel.

This is one of my favorite places in Nashville. When I took my kids there years ago, we never missed the Parthenon. Yes there is one in Nashville. This full sized replica is just like the original one in Athens, Greece. It is the perfect moment for some homeschool studies while you are there too. This work of wonder was built in 1897 and is one of the best Nashville attractions. While there you may also see some art, since it sometimes functions as an art museum.

There are many other things to do in Nashville too. Check them out before you leave to be ready when you arrive!

Best Spa in Nashville

The best spa in Nashville is located on the 4th floor of the Omni Nashville Hotel. The name of the spa is the Mokara Spa. It also offers a salon too. Make sure to give yourself several hours to really make it a spa day. You will not want to miss time for yourself in their huge luxurious spa lounge. There you can relax by the fireplace and take a bit of tea.

When I was there I had a facial – my favorite spa treatment for sure. Be sure to add a stop here and make time for yourself a facial, massage or body treatment. After your selfcare day, you will wonder why you did not have this as the first thing on your schedule.

Nashville’s Future

Nashville is continuing to grow as a place many not only want to visit, but to also live there. Hotel openings are always a sign of great things coming for any city. In 2020, 12 new hotels opened. A few are the Grand Hyatt, the Joseph Luxury Collection, and the Virgin Hotel Nashville.

New hotels on the horizon by 2022 are a Park MGM Hotel, a Conrad and (drumroll please) a Four Season! That is reason enough for me to return to Nashville in the future.

It is time for me to explore Nashville again – How About You?!?!?!
