As someone who was late to the game for Canadian travel , I am now one of Canada’s biggest fans. I wanted to share with you some of my favorite articles here on Spa Travel Gal about travel in Canada and also a few more. Then after you review my articles, you can look for a cheap flight to Canada, so you too can become one of their biggest fans! See below some of my thoughts from when I visited some time ago.
“If you want to feel like you have not only stepped back in time, but also visited Europe for the weekend – time to head to Old Quebec City! Be sure to remember thought that Canadian travel varies greatly from one region of Canada to the other. Where Vancouver is extremely modern, Old Quebec City is stuck in both a different time and place! If you’re looking for a vacation that will serve up art, culture, history, beauty and relaxation — all with a healthy spin — head to Old Quebec City. The city itself is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Old Quebec was once the heart of French civilization in North America.” per Spa Travel Gal.
“As you explore the city, there are many vantage points to grab great photos and enjoy the views. Take a historical bus tour to learn more about the history of the region. One fun and simple way to see the sites is to take the Funiculaire. The experience is a short but memorable ride from lower town to upper town. Rather than taking the steep stairs up, you can hop on this 135-plus-year-old mini ride. This will allow you to rest your feet after a day of exploring. You will also score some incredible views. The Funiculaire is a quick ride, but it’s inexpensive and the views of town and the port are priceless. ” per Spa Travel Gal
Canadian travel is also a great place to beat the heat in the summer!
Okay Quebec is easy to fly to from the New York Airports, but Vancouver is all the way across so you can connect in various places and fly though Atlanta or LAX when traveling from the East Coast. Canadian travel is worth the journey though and I hope you are able to enjoy it as much as I have in the past.
