Brunch anyone? Per Wikipedia “Brunch” is a combination of breakfast and lunch eaten usually during the late morning but it can extend to as late as 3pm.  Which may be good on the weekends, when most rise quite a bit after sunrise. Brunch originated in England in the late 19th century and became popular in the United States in the 1930s. Today brunch is a regular meal for most in this nation on the weekends, whether they call it that or not.  Today I want to inspire your weekend brunch to be a time of celebration – the celebration of good friends.  Let’s toast to good friends with a glass of the one of the finest bubblies around – Santa Margherita’s Prosecco!

Remember, your brunch can be as simple as a toast over scrambled eggs or a raise of the glass to some salmon, caviar and eggs benedict. When celebrating friends, it may be best to spiff up the food and bit to get everyone into the celebratory spirits.  I always like to use doilies and some lovely glasses. In the South – deviled eggs may just fit the day! Sprinkle the paprika and pour the Prosecco – You are ready!
