This weekend I had the most lovely surprise! I was invited to The Ritz-Carlton Afternoon Tea in Buckhead to sample the new Butterflies and Blossoms Afternoon Tea. Now it had been such a busy week and I almost cancelled out – thinking that I certainly would not be missed….but you see earlier that week I had “run” into some friend’s profiles on Facebook that I had not talked to for a few months. There were two and I posted on each of their walls that we needed to “Catch Up” real soon. One did comment back that she had an event at the The Ritz-Carlton Afternoon Tea this weekend, but what a faux pas that would be for me to ask if she was invited to an event (in case she wasn’t)…and I assumed she was not going to be there due to the nature of the event.
So Sunday afternoon, I gussied up as much as I could and pulled out a spring dress praying that I could zip it up. Knocked off as much puppy hair off of me, put on some lipstick and headed to Buckhead. Now there are very few things that I will not miss – of course a trip to the spa or a night in a luxury suite, but one is also visiting The Ritz-Carlton Afternoon Tea especially in Buckhead! I dream about their cucumber tea sandwiches! They are so divine with mint infused cream cheese and layers of cucumbers paper thin!!! YUM! Also, The Ritz-Carlton Afternoon Tea always changes just a bit for each season and surprises your taste buds with new delights
After arrival, I was seated near the lovely fireplace and live piano music with my host. I did notice that there were only four place settings. Then she remarked that a few had to cancel due to “pollen attacks”, but my pal Patti Davis would be there and one more would attend also. You see Patti was one of two of my friends that I had wanted to “catch up”, so I was delighted. Then soon after Lisa Tush walked in & YES she was the other lovely “Catch Up” friend. Wow the stars had aligned, but should I say the Butterflies! In short, amazing things happen at the Afternoon Tea at The Ritz-Carlton Afternoon Tea in Buckhead. Close by I even noticed real live teenagers all dressed up in appropriate “Afternoon Tea” attire and having an real live good time with their moms and aunts!
