Hotel Valley Ho in Scottsdale, Arizona, was cool back in 1956 when it first opened its doors, and it’s every bit as chic now, after an expansive and meticulous renovation. The hotel is classic in mid-century design and lighthearted ambiance and offers a full service spa, pool and cabanas, luxe lounge, and is a pet friendly spa destination.
Pets are always welcome at Hotel Valley Ho. Put on your best Mad Men style duds and get a stylish leash for your pet. Pets will love the provided Food + Water Bowl, Doggie Treats, “Pet In Room” Door Hanger, Pet Cleanup Bags, open grass areas, including Palm Court and Fountain Courtyard, and amenities courtesy of the pet lifestyle specialists at MANKINDdog.
Nestled in the Chesapeake Bay village of St Michaels, Five Gables Inn & Spa blends the historic charm and warmth inn guests seek with a luxury spa experience. Five Gables Inn features both pet friendly rooms and a pet friendly suite. Pet owners will delight in the on-site upscale pet boutique — Flying Fred’s, named for the owners’ Jack Russell Terrier.
Hyatt Regency Suites Palm Springs in Palm Springs, California is a haven for snowbirds escaping cold climates this winter. FireSky Resort and Spa, also in Scottsdale, Arizona, is nestled in the heart of Scottsdale near Fashion Square, museums, golf courses and other favorite places that make Scottsdale such a favored destination. Bosco, Director of Pet Relations, is the resort’s onsite Cocker Spaniel. He makes certain the resort offers specials and packages designed to welcome your pets, including a welcome board with your pets’ name, walksies by staff, free treats, doggie beds, bowls, and more, and no deposits!
Boon Hotel + Spa, Guerneville, California, It’s a safe bet when a host names a hotel after a beloved pet, that guests’ pets will be welcomed. Boon is the resident, frisbee-toting, always smiling, black-and-white four-legged “peach of a dog.” Boon Hotel + Spa is located in some of the most picturesque wine country in California, the Wine Road, Northern Sonoma County, which takes visitors on a sensually gratifying journey of natural beauty, tasting experiences and personal encounters with the state’s most devoted winemakers. Pet friendly rooms are available, with plentiful walking trails for pet walks.
My personal top picks for Pet Friendly Resorts and also Spa Resorts is The Ritz Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Plantation in Greensboro, GA. Dogs love the water and boy do they have it there with Lake Oconee (Wake Oconee)! Also the Barnsley Gardens Resort and Spa offer excellent accommodations for pets as well as a soon to be announced Dog Massage from their spa!
